Hosted by comedian Kym Whitley, the evening featured performances by Martha Redbone, Deborah Cox, Method Man, and Busta Rhymes. Babyface, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Monica were also in attendance.

Teyana Taylor, a Harlem native, received the inaugural Innovator Award at the ceremony, presented by Dapper Dan and Sherri Shepherd. In her heartfelt speech, Taylor reflected on her first performance at the Apollo at just eight years old, expressing gratitude for the theater’s role in her life.
