Have you ever been caught in an unexpected summer shower just as you’re soaking up the sun?
It’s one of those moments that can throw off your whole vibe and make it hard to dress up for, but Tracee Ellis Ross has the perfect rainy-day style solution.
On Instagram, Ellis Ross shared a photo dump of her recent trip to Mexico, which she visited as part of her new show, Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross.
In the carousel of images, one snap shows the High Note star wearing a white linen short set complete with a cropped top and mid-length shorts. The breezy warm-weather outfit, however, was thoughtfully styled to handle a little drizzle.
Ellis Ross paired her monochromatic co-ord with a cream colored raincoat that matched her chunky waterproof boots.
She also sported the It-girl bag of the season, aka the Alaïa Le Teckel Bag, in the same light-colored hue.
In her caption, she wrote, “MEXICO 🇲🇽 tennis, tequila, rain, jungle cruises, placental mammals with claws….and rain. What was your favorite moment from this episode? oh, and did I mention the RAIN?!?!”
A good matching set is part of Ellis Ross’ go-to fashion formulas during the summer. Just this week, she was spotted wearing a flowy, breezy Jacquemus co-ord while strolling around New York City.
The full runway look was part of Jacquemus’s “Le Paysan” Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
She wore a slouchy, oversized V-neck top with wide sleeves, paired with an A-line pleated maxi skirt. Both pieces featured bold white and sky-blue stripes
