Hollywood actor Tommy Lee Jones‘ family has finally broken their silence after it was reported that his daughter Victoria died on January 1, 2026, at the age of 34. The family shared a statement with People, saying, “We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
Victoria is the daughter of Jones and his second wife, photographer Kimberlea Cloughley, to whom he was married from 1981 to 1996. The former couple also shares an older son named Austin.
Jones is well-known for his extensive acting career, which includes critically acclaimed projects like The Fugitive, which won him an Academy Award in 1994, Lincoln, The Homesman, and No Country for Old Men, among others.

In the months leading up to her death, Victoria was reportedly arrested at least twice, including for possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, to which she pleaded not guilty.
The San Francisco Police Department and Medical Examiner’s Office are conducting an investigation, and as of writing, no official cause of death has been reported. The hotel press director, Michelle Heston, shared a statement about the situation with People that said, “We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time.”
“The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation,” Heston went on.
