Tommy Fury has nothing but optimism about his future.

During an interview with Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, May 7, the 26-year-old boxer reflected on the recent challenges he has endured, including his split from fiancée Molly-Mae Hague. Fury has since attributed the breakup to his “problem with alcohol,” which he explained stemmed from an injury that impacted his career.

“Being in a position where boxing is everything, the fact that I couldn’t do that — I couldn’t get out of bed in the morning and do what I wanted to do and live and do what made me happy — I just thought, you know, s— it all,” he told the outlet. “Then you go down that dark route, and you go down there for a few weeks, and you end up staying there for a very long time. And that, you know, it has consequences. It has consequences on absolutely everything.”

“2024 was the worst year of my life, and this year is going to be the best year of my life,” he added as he prepares to get back into the boxing ring on May 9. “It starts on Friday, I’ve turned it all around.”

This comes amid rumors that Fury and Hague, who met on season 5 of Love Island U.K., have rekindled their relationship, although neither has confirmed the speculation.

“I’m happy mentally now,” Fury revealed. “I’ve got to go through these challenges in life. Everyone’s got a hard life. I’ve come through this, I’m on the other side and I’m back doing what I do best.”

The reality star went on to shout out the 2-year-old daughter he and Hague share, saying, “I speak to Bambi all the time. She’s everything to me, I love her so much. If Bambi is watching this, Bambi, daddy loves you!”

Fury and the Pretty Little Thing creative director made their relationship official in July 2019 after meeting on the popular dating show. Two months later, they moved in together.

In 2022, the pair bought their first home and announced that they were expecting a baby. Their daughter Bambi was born in January 2023, and six months later, Fury proposed to Hague.

Then, in August 2024, Hague took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that she and Fury were going their separate ways.

“I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority,” she wrote.

Despite speculation that he had cheated on Hague, Fury claimed in an interview with Men’s Health UK that “cheating was never a thing,” calling the rumors “utter bulls—.”

“We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore,” he said. “It kills me to say it, but I couldn’t.”
