Tom Cruise‘s answer about Father’s Day plans in a recent interview has garnered mixed reactions from fans.
When asked in an E! News interview what an ideal Father’s Day would look like to him this week, the actor at first seemed to subtly answer the question, and then quickly pivoted.
“You know, just having fun, man,” he said. “Making movies, big adventure, having a great time.”

The actor, 63, who was chatting with E! at the ‘Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning’red carpet premiere in New York City, is a father of three. He has two children, Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30, who he shares with Nicole Kidman and Suri, 19, who he shares with Katie Holmes and is notably estranged from.
Kidman and Cruise were married from 1990-2001 and he was married to Holmes from 2006-2012.
And while most fans in the comments were quick to criticize his seemingly non-answer when it came to talking about his children, others blamed the reporter, with one social media user calling her “shady,” for asking the personal question and another questioning why the topic even came up.

“Why would you ask that question if you know he has issues with his kids – not necessary,” another commenter wrote.
“I thought he doesn’t have a relationship with the kids…the reporter should have done her research before asking that questions. Awkward…” a third said.
However, comments of disapproval included Instagram users calling Cruise ‘a dead beat dad’ and asking if he forgot he has three kids.
