  • Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas were photographed taking a walk in a London park on her 37th birthday on Wednesday, April 30

  • The day before, they were spotted getting out of a helicopter together

  • A source previously told PEOPLE that the two stars have “no romantic connection” and were “discussing potential collaborations down the line”

Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas spent some time together on the actress’ birthday.

The pair were spotted walking together and having a chat in London on the Blonde star’s 37th birthday on Wednesday, April 30 — just one day after being photographed going airborne in a helicopter piloted by Cruise, 62.

In photos and video footage taken by a bystander and shared on X, the Top Gun: Maverick star could be seen walking alongside de Armas in a white T-shirt and jeans with his arms behind his back. As for the Knives Out actress, she also wore a light-colored T-shirt with jeans and white tennis shoes.

The pair strolled alongside each other as their security detail walked close by. The two stars appeared to be enjoying a chat as they casually made their way down one of the pathways in the park. They are reportedly working together on an upcoming project.

PEOPLE reached out to reps for both Cruise and de Armas for comment.

The day before the park outing, Cruise and de Armas were photographed in London exiting a helicopter together. A source told PEOPLE at the time that they were “maybe” celebrating her birthday.

The actress, wearing a hoodie and shorts, was seen talking with the Jack Reacher actor before stepping onto the helipad with one of her two dogs in her arms. The other pup exited from the other side of the helicopter on a leash held by another woman, who joined de Armas to walk off the tarmac.

Cruise, dressed in a dark T-shirt and jeans, was photographed exiting the helicopter after having a chat with airport staff on the tarmac. He was also spotted giving one of them a fist bump.

The two action stars, who have previously been seen around London together, are not romantically involved, a source previously told PEOPLE.

When Cruise and de Armas were first spotted on a night out in February, an insider told PEOPLE they were at dinner with their agents “discussing potential collaborations down the line.” The source also noted that they “appeared to have no romantic connection” and were “just friends.”

Cruise and The Gray Man star were also seen arriving in London via helicopter on March 14. They were joined by Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow and American Made director Doug Liman. The name of the project they may be working on has not been specified.

Both Cruise and de Armas are known for their stunt work in their films. De Armas — who appeared in the action hit No Time to Die and leads the upcoming From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (in theaters June 6) — previously praised Cruise’s talents in a 2023 interview with USA Today.

She shared that she was “not at a Tom Cruise level yet. But I can appreciate what he does 100% now, and I totally get why he does it. He’s so mind-blowing.”

Cruise next stars in (and produces) Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the action franchise’s eighth installment, hitting theaters on May 23.
