Tom Brady is getting candid about one of the parenting decisions he’s not so proud of.
While making an appearance on the Tuesday, May 6 episode of Logan Paul‘s Impaulsive podcast, the former NFL quarterback revealed that he has some “regrets” over his 2024 Netflix comedy roast, specifically because of how it affected his children.

“It was tough on my kids for sure,” Brady, 47, confessed to Paul, 30, during the new podcast episode.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner went on to say that hearing jokes targeted at their parents was “really hard” for his kids John “Jack” Edward Thomas, 17, who he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan, as well as son Benjamin Rein, 15, and Vivian Lake, 12, both of whom he shares with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
During the roast, various celebrities showed up to playfully put Brady on blast, including Nikki Glaser, who also made a jab toward Bündchen when she took the stage.
And while Brady first thought the live event went swimmingly, hearing his kids’ reaction to it was heartbreaking.
“When you were in that moment, in that theater that night at the Forum, it was electric. It was crazy. We got done, everybody was on Cloud 9. I think that moment I’ll never forget,” Brady explained. “And then I’ll never forget when I talked to my kids the next day. I felt like a stake through the heart, understandably.”
The former Patriots player recalled that his children asked, “why did you do that?” and wanted to know “what was the point?”
“They’re protective of their mom, of their dad, of everybody,” Brady said of his three kids.
“There’s some things as a parent you f—k up, and you don’t realize until after,” he added during the interview. “We’re not perfect parents. You’ll see as you grow up, there’s no perfect manual for it.”
