Tish Cyrus has spoken out after she appeared to unfollow Miley Cyrus on Instagram.
A fan account noted that the podcaster, 57, appeared to unfollow her pop star daughter on Wednesday, May 7, hours after Billy Ray Cyrus shared an old video of Miley, 32, on Instagram, seemingly alluding to him seeing her.
“Can’t wait to see this young lady. Crazy how time flies,” the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, 63, captioned the post.
However, hours after fans noticed Tish had appeared to unfollow the “Flowers” hitmaker, she was questioned by them.
“Why did you stop following Miley? 🥺 one user asked.
Another wondered: “Why did you block miley?!?!?!?”
A different user asked: “Why did you block miley?!?!?!?”
However, Tish soon addressed the situation in a comment on an Instagram post.
“have no idea how that happened but it’s fixed now! 💖” she wrote in the comments section.
The brief unfollow incident comes weeks after Billy Ray debuted his relationship with Elizabeth Hurley.
On Sunday, April 20, the actress, 59, and the country singer posed for a photo together as they celebrated Easter during a visit to a farm. In an Instagram post, Billy Ray was kissing Hurley on the side of her face as they both leaned against a picket fence.
“Happy Easter ♥️,” the Serving Sara star captioned the photo.
After the pair sparked romance rumors with the photo, PEOPLE confirmed they’re in a relationship.
A Cyrus source told PEOPLE the new couple had known each other for years after meeting on the set of 2022’s Christmas in Paradise movie, filmed on the Caribbean island of Nevis.
“Liz is great and visited him for Easter,” said the source. “They’ve been seeing each other romantically for a little bit. And how lucky is he? Liz is lovely. She’s very warm, positive and the best to be around.”
They added that Cyrus loved working with her during filming: “They had a great time shooting that movie together — it was beautiful and relaxed, and it really stuck with him.”

Billy Ray and Tish married in 1993 and eventually welcomed three children together: Miley, Braison and Noah Cyrus. Billy Ray also adopted Tish’s children, Brandi and Trace Cyrus.
In 2010, Billy Ray filed for divorce, but eventually withdrew his petition a few months later. Tish then filed for divorce in 2013, however, they eventually got back together after going to couples therapy.
The former couple decided to go their separate ways in April 2022.
“We have grown up together, raised a family we can be so proud of, and it is now time to create our own paths,” the pair told PEOPLE in a joint statement.
Following their divorce, Billy Ray married Australian singer Firerose in October 2023. (They settled their divorce in August 2024.)
Meanwhile, Tish married actor Dominic Purcell in August 2023.
