For Tina Fey and Will Forte, it’s all in the family — or not?

The two actors are still not sure whether they were playing siblings or a married couple in one of their most famous Saturday Night Live sketches together, they revealed when they stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show on Thursday.

The sketch in question, “Key Party,” aired in the Dec. 11, 2004, episode, and features Owen (host Colin Farrell) and iconic SNL character Carol (Horatio Sanz) attending a party unlike any they have ever been to before. Fey and Forte played Misty Peppers and John George Peppers, a duo of some unknown relation who have what appears to be the same curly-haired wig on. Amy Poehler, Seth Meyers, Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Rachel Dratch, and Chris Parnell play the other partygoers.

It’s one of just two sketches that featured both Forte and Fey during their time on the show, they told Clarkson.

“It was a bunch of people, like ʼ70s key parties, I guess, would be like where weird creeps go together, put your keys in the bowl, and then you hook up with whoever’s car key you take,” Fey explained. “So it was a sketch about that — it was like a bunch of weird characters.”

She continued, “I don’t even know why I was in that sketch because I was never really in sketches, but they were like, ‘Be a really weird character in a sketch.’ And I don’t have a lot of moves.”

Fey explained that all she could come up with was making her teeth stand out awkwardly.

“It was the perfect move. It was the right move,” Forte told her, before adding to Clarkson, “We’re still not really sure if we were a married couple or brother and sister.”

Elsewhere on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and speaking of Forte and Fey playing (possibly) married people, the costars also dished on their new show, The Four Seasons. Based on the 1981 Alan Alda film of the same name, the comedy series follows six old friends who head for a relaxing weekend away only to learn that one couple in the group is about to get a divorce.

The three couples — Kate (Fey) and Jack (Forte), Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver), and Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani) — are completely upset by the news. The series follows the group over the course of a year on four different vacations, and shows how this shake-up affects everyone’s dynamic, sending issues both old and new bubbling to the surface.
