Tim McGraw is officially back and he will be releasing a single on Friday, August 1. The country music star shared the big news on social media on July 30.
“Hey King Rodeo… tune in Friday,” he captioned an Instagram post, sharing a clip of the new song.

Fans took over the comments section of the post, praising McGraw for the track.
“Wow you’re amazing!” one person said.
“And the new era begins,” someone else wrote.
“I am so excited for this song to finally be released!!! @thetimmcgraw, this song really is fabulous! So many layers of meaning in great lyrics that are paired with a beautiful melody. Happiness,” a third comment read.
“Love this,” a fourth Instagram user added.
McGraw revealed that he’d been working on a new album back in June. During his performance at Music City Rodeo in Nashville, the “I Like It, I Love It” singer gave the audience a first listen of his new single.
“We’ve been working on a new record,” he said. “And we thought that this song was appropriate for the night. I hope you like it,” he added, before the performance.
It has been more than a year since McGraw released new music. His last single was “Paper Umbrellas,” a collaboration he did with Parker McCollum, that was released in July 2024. Meanwhile, his last record, Standing Room Only was released in August 2023.
