I have been longing to wear Spring 2025’s fashion trends since I first spotted them strutting down the runway last September. Unfortunately, the weather forecast hasn’t quite aligned. Temperatures have remained chilly, forcing my micro shorts and floaty, transparent layers to stay stuffed in my drawers a little while longer.

No worries, because for those looking to instantly update their outfits with a fresh, 2025 take, there’s an easy way to do so. With color! The SS25 runways were awash with a number of eye-catching hues from powder pink to butter yellow and sky blue. And along with spring’s penchant for pastels, neutral shades of tan (hello Pantone’s color of the year, Mocha Mousse) along with seasonal surprises like silver were also spotted in abundance.

Whether you add a colorful injection to an ensemble through your accessories or break away from your go-to palette of neutrals (I’ll admit I’m guilty of wearing only black, white, and blue on repeat) with a statement piece, make sure it’s in one of these seven key tones. Keep scrolling for the best and biggest color trends to wear in 2025.

Butter Yellow

If you have yet to invest in anything butter yellow, what have you been waiting for? It is officially the color of spring 2025, co-signed by Chanel, Chloé, Toteme and 16Arlington, to name a few. While specific shades range slightly, the key to nailing the look is sticking firmly in vanilla, almost cream, territory.

Powder Pink

Pink, in all its varying tones, has been a mainstay on the fashion agenda for the past few seasons now, but for SS25 it’s all about a pale, pastel, powder pink colorway. Barbie, this is not. Don’t let overt feminine connotations put you off, you can style this color in masculine silhouettes for a high-fashion contrast per Brandon Maxwell, Khaite, Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, Balmain, Ferragamo and Jil Sander.

Mocha Mousse

We’ve been living in luxurious chocolate brown hues all winter long, and the color is set to stick around in 2025. But if you’re looking to update your look for spring, simply opt for lighter tones of tan, caramel and you guessed it, mocha. Look to Miu Miu, Saint Laurent and Hermès for styling notes.

Sky Blue

Blue skies are what we’re all longing for, so why not do a little manifesting via your wardrobe? That certainly seems to be what a number of fashion houses were doing as baby blue emerged as the must-have hue on the SS25 runways at Acne, Stella McCartney and Jason Wu.

Burgundy

It’s not only about pastels in spring. Burgundy is another color that’s been on our radar for a while now, but this season it is well and truly coming into its own. You’ve heard of the “pop of red” color theory that suggests an outfit is instantly elevated with the introduction of one red item. The same applies to burgundy. Warmer than black but less in your face than tomato red, it’s the perfect in-between shade. Isabel Marant, Dries Van Noten, Chloé, Jil Sander and Bottega Veneta confirm it.

Silver

No, metallics aren’t just for Christmas party dresses and sequin skirts! Switch that chunky knit sweater for a simple white tee and sandals, and you’re good to go. Or, to make it truly daytime, take your styling cues from Rabanne, Dior and Prada who paired silver frocks with clashing sports luxe outerwear for a high-low combination we can get behind.

Spring Green

It’s a scientific fact that the human eye sees more shades of green than any other color, and that’s certainly true of the SS25 runways. While Zimmermann opted for muddy tones of khaki, Erdem pulled from the other end of the spectrum to debut sea foam hues. Our favorite green, though, is a bright, zingy spring green seen at Elie Saab, Valentino and Victoria Beckham.
