The Voice Season 27 Playoffs just wrapped tonight with coaches Adam Levine, Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend and Michael Bublé having had to whittle down their teams from five artists to the two going through to the Lives.
Last week, Adam chose Kolby Cordell and Lucia Flores-Wiseman to move on to the Lives and Kelsea selected Iris Herrera and Alanna Lynise. Tonight, Michael chose Adam David
and Jadyn Cree, while John went with Bryson Battle and RENZO.
John was moaning all night about the fact that he really needed to pick three artists, not two. And, lo and behold, he got his wish.

At the end of the episode, host Carson Daly called a huddle with the four coaches and told them, “I come with great news. We always intended to keep the best artists on this show for the longest amount of time. We are going to allow each of you to bring back one more artist for the top of the live shows. The Super Save is on.”
“Do you know how much stress you unnecessarily put on us?” John told him. “They didn’t tell me I was going to be able to pick three all along.”
Adam got on it right away and made a call to his third choice, saying, “I am really happy to tell you, you’re coming back.”
We didn’t see who he was speaking to, but it sounded like a guy on the other end, which is because the three artists he has to choose from are Ethan Eckenroad, Britton Moore and Conor James. My money is on Conor, but Adam always surprises me with choices, so we’ll have to wait for the live shows to find out.

Kelsea said, “I feel like Santa Claus. Ho Ho Ho. Give me the phone, it’s Christmas.”
Kelsea’s remaining artists are Darius J, Jaelen Johnston, and Tinika Wyatt. I was surprised when Kelsea didn’t select Jaelen as one of her two, so possibly he will be her selection.
John can pick from Ari Camiile, BD.ii, and Olivia Kuper Harris, and I don’t have a guess here, although if pushed, I might choose Olivia.
Then Michael’s remaining artists are Barry Jean Fontenot, Angie Rey and Kaiya Hamilton, and I say it will be one of the two women.
We’ll meet the Super Save artists next week when The Voice goes live on Monday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
