“The Valley”’s Michelle Claims Jesse Wouldn’t Let Their Daughter See Her Dying Grandma: ‘He Doesn’t Care’

Michelle Saniei shared a frustrating conversation she’d had with her ex Jesse Lally on this week’s episode of The Valley.

In a scene at her boyfriend Aaron Nosler’s house, the Bravo star, 36, shared that she’d tried to approach her ex-husband Lally, 43, whom she split from in October 2023, about letting their 5-year-old daughter Isabella visit her mom, who was dying of colon cancer.

“Did I tell you the update about my mom?” Michelle asks Aaron in the scene. “Basically the oncologist said the body is deteriorating. Which is why I sent that email and I even told Jesse like, it’d be nice for Isabella to spend some time with her grandmother. And he said no.”

“Hm. That’s tough,” Aaron responds. “So he doesn’t want to be flexible enough to give her a week with her grandma?”

“No, he doesn’t care,” says Michelle.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE exclusively, Jesse claimed that Michelle’s narrative was false and that the true story would be made public during the show’s reunion.

“Unfortunately, this is another instance of Michelle’s endless false narratives. All the facts about this came out at the reunion, and I look forward to the audience feeling seeing the truth,” he said.

In a confessional, Michelle claims that Jesse not letting their daughter see her grandmother is one of the “lowest” things he’s ever done.

“This is the lowest thing Jesse has ever done to me,” Michelle says. “Just because he’s pissed off, he says no? That makes me sick to my stomach. How careless he is.”

Back in the scene at Aaron’s house, the two talk about how difficult Jesse’s decision is for Michelle.

“I pray that he can not always be bringing you down, or making your life as difficult as possible,” Aaron says.

“I came to the conclusion that he’s incapable of that,” Michelle says. “I think it’s just always going to be that dynamic that I don’t talk to him. That’s like, reality. I don’t want that, but that’s what I think.”

Later in the episode, Jesse is confronted by his costars Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko. Nia tells Jesse that she’d heard from Michelle that he wasn’t letting their daughter see her grandmother.

“Michelle was like, I’m really sad that Jesse’s, as of right now, is saying Isabella can’t spend the week with my mom. Obviously I can never tell you what to do, it’s your child, but if she has the opportunity to spend a week with her grandmother who may not be here next year,” Nia says, getting emotional, adding that she and her family “pray” for Michelle’s mom to be okay.

“Remember that there’s…” Jesse says before Nia cuts in, “I know there’s two sides to every story.”

“Yeah, I had no idea how sick her mom was,” Jesse says. “And of course, I would never say no. Isabella should spend as much time as possible with her grandmother, but Michelle and I need to have a conversation about mortality and life and death with her, because she can’t see this and not know what’s happening.”

In his own confessional, Jesse explains that he feels like the former couple can’t agree on anything anymore, and that it’s going to be a “hard” conversation to approach with their daughter.

“There’s no way to explain that finite information to Isabella. She’s dealing with a move into a new house and dealing with parents that are fighting and then parents that separated. And then it’s like, ‘Oh, Grandmas gone.’ And how much more can a 5-year-old take?” he asks in his confessional.

Back in the scene, Nia asks if Jesse will allow his daughter to see her grandmother.

“She should spend all the time with her grandmother,” he insists. “But this girl needs to know what the f— is happening with her grandmother is what I’m primarily focused on. The rest is logistics.”

Michelle’s mom died in November 2024, a year after receiving the diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer. The reality TV star announced her mom’s death in a post on Instagram on Nov. 6, 2024.

“Mom, your love was the greatest gift I ever received. Without you, the world feels incomplete,” she wrote. “You were my best friend since I was a little girl. I will love and miss you forever ♾️ 11-05-2024.”
