Kobe Bryant’s daughter, Natalia Bryant, graduated from the University of Southern California—and celebrated with posting a TikTok to Taylor Swift’s song “Nothing New (Taylor’s Version).”

“How can a person know everything at 18, but nothing at 22,” Natalia and her friends sang along in the video.

Swift, who has been very quiet on social media lately (and laying low publicly), broke her social media hiatus to like Natalia’s video, showing support for the young graduate. Before liking Natalia’s video, the last video Swift liked was posted by Bridgerton star Florence Hunt last June, showing the cast lip syncing to her song “Shake It Off.”

The late Kobe Bryant was a fan of Swift, revealing in 2019, “I don’t care if you don’t like her music. Look at what she’s doing. It’s unbelievable to be able to pull that off over and over and over. And so, I try to learn from it as much as I can.” He added that Swift was friendly with his daughters, saying, “She was a sweetheart to my girls before she even blew up and became Taylor Swift.” At the Eras Tour, Vanessa Bryant and daughters Natalia and Bianka attended, and Bianka received the ‘22’ hat from Swift during the show.

“In terms of legacy, my main goal is just to be the best version of me that I possibly can,” Natalia told T&C. And “understanding that there’s no expectation that I should have for each stage of life. I just need to know that I have to keep learning, because there’s no finish line. You just have to keep pushing and being the best person you can be and soaking everything up like a sponge… The job’s never done.”
