’60s iconAnn-Margret, 84, is congratulating fellow actress Lindsay Lohanfor the August 8 premiere of Freakier Friday, the long-awaited sequel to the 2003 Disney film, Freaky Friday.

On August 8, Ann-Margret, known for her roles in Bye Bye Birdie and Viva Las Vegas, took to Instagram to share a throwback picture that showed her and Lohan posing for a People magazine photoshoot.

“Big congratulations my dear @lindsaylohan on the release of Freakier Friday!” wrote Ann-Margret in the caption.

Several fans shared that they appreciated Ann-Margret’s post in the comments section.

“Congratulations @lindsaylohan – both of you look great in this picture!” commented a fan.

Some commenters also referenced that Lohan is interested in playing Ann-Margret in a biopic.

“Queens supporting queens! We definitely need that biopic with Lindsay portraying you!” wrote a commenter.

“Lindsay should play Ann-Margret in an Ann-Margret biopic,” added another.

IndieWire reported that in a July 2025 Good Morning America interview, Lohan’s Freaky Friday and Freakier Friday co-star, Jamie Lee Curtis, said she hopes the 39-year-old will eventually play Ann-Margret. During the same interview, Lohan said she has been a long-time fan of the legendary actress.

“I’m going to out you now to the world — I want her to do the Ann-Margret story. So, every day on Instagram… I find videos of her back in the day, and I send [Lohan] every day videos [of Ann-Margret],” said Curtis in the interview.

During a July 2025 IndieWire interview, Ann-Margret told the publication she would be interested in Lohan starring in a film about her life.

“I know that she wants to do that. It just depends on what the dialogue is like. What can I say? I adore her. I think she’s full of talent, and I just would like to see what they can come up with,” said Ann-Margret to IndieWire.

In a July 2025 interview on LIVE with Kelly and Mark, Lohan spoke about reprising her Freaky Friday character Anna Coleman for the 2025 sequel. Lohan shared that she and Curtis, who plays Anna’s mother, Tess Coleman, remained close after filming for Freaky Friday wrapped.

“Jamie and I have been in contact. We’re still friends. So that had felt like I had seen her yesterday. And it was nice to get everyone back together,” said Lohan.
