“I bought [an] off-the-rack wedding dress off the internet for like, $1,000, and I’m thrilled with it!” The Hills alum said
Lo Bosworth and her fiancé Dom Natale are “thrilled” about their upcoming “micro-wedding.”
During the Thursday, June 12, episode of Northwestern Mutual’s A Better Way to Money podcast, The Hills alum, 38, spoke candidly to Lauren Yoder, the company’s VP of Product Management, and host Jennifer Borget about why she and her husband-to-be decided to choose meaningful moments over throwing an elaborate party for their big day.
According to Bosworth, the idea came to the couple after a “spur of the moment engagement party” that they held at a local dive bar.

“We had one of the best nights of our lives at this dive bar with our friends that we had gathered together last minute, drinking beers,” the former reality star said.
The low-key, but special evening made them wonder if they were “making a mistake having a huge, fancy, expensive wedding.”
“Ultimately, we decided to shift our priorities because we would like to start a family. We would like to buy a house and those things cost money and you have to plan for your future,” Bosworth said.
“And so we are going to have a small, family-only wedding this summer. We’re gonna get married in Laguna Beach,” she continued.
Bosworth added that after the wedding, she and Natale plan to “go up to my parents’ house and have a celebration in the backyard with just family and keep it really special and meaningful.”
For their “micro wedding,” the bride-to-be opted for a store-bought dress instead of a custom one.
“I bought [an] off-the-rack wedding dress off the internet for like $1,000, and I’m thrilled with it! It fits great. You don’t need to go custom designer,” Bosworth said, though she admitted, “If I was younger, I would’ve gone for the bigger wedding.”
She also revealed how she and the investor began dating.

“I am somebody who met my partner later in life,” Bosworth said. “We met when we were both 37, and I have always been somebody that wanted to get married and wanted to have a family, and I spent a big chunk of my 30s single. Which was unexpected for me.”
After ending a previous relationship, the founder and CEO of Love Wellness said she decided to focus on work for a while.
“I think that I was embarrassed that I was single to be honest with you,” she confessed.

“I think that a lot of women who are in their later 30s kind of feel that way, and it’s not of our own making. It’s what society tells us, right? ‘Oh, you’re a spinster now! You are undesirable!’ ” Bosworth said, laughing at the outdated idea. “No, that’s wrong.”
Natale came into her life “after I had done a lot of self-work and therapy and reflection on my relationship status.”
Once she became “really comfortable being alone,” Bosworth revealed to her followers during an Instagram Stories “Ask Me Anything” session that she was single.

“Then into the DMs came Dom’s sisters,” she said, adding, “His family set us up.”
In between laughter, the podcasters urged others to “wear your single badge with honor.”
“It’s true! I realized everyone needs to be marking themselves for what they want. If you’re single and you want a partner, you have to do the work to find a partner,” Bosworth said. “You have to ask to be set up. You have to go on dates. You have to do the work. You can’t just sit in your house and play on TikTok.”
Natale popped the question in January, Bosworth revealed in a sentimental Instagram post.
“For you, my darling, it could only be a ‘yes.’ Thank you for being the best that one could be, for me. All my love, L,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of her and her fiancé sharing a romantic embrace.
