The Queen of Country recently posted a throwback video of “Coat of Many Colors” and it has fans feeling all the feelings.
“Back through the years I go wandering once again/ Back to the seasons of my youth/ I recall a box of rags that someone gave to us/ And how my mama put the rags to use/ There were rags of many colors, every piece was small/ And I didn’t have a coat, and it was way down in the fall/ Mama sewed the rags together sewing every piece with love/ She made my coat of many colors that I was so proud of,” Parton sings in the video she posted to her Instagram.

The video appears to be an old clip from Parton’s variety show from the 1980s called Dolly. In the clip, Parton’s look is specifically stripped back from her normal glamour. She’s in jeans and a jean shirt and her hair is curly. The set resembles a cozy home, one even nicer than the shack she grew up in in the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.
Several fans took to the comments to note how the “timeless classic” affects them emotionally.
