A second boycott against Amazon and its affiliated businesses started today and lasts through May 12. This is the latest consumer boycott as some shoppers protest what they call corporate greed, companies that have rolled back their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and President Donald Trump’s efforts to eliminate federal DEI programs since taking office.

The boycott of Amazon is organized by The People’s Union, the same grass-roots group that coordinated the one-day economic consumer blackout on Feb. 28 and a three-day blackout in April.

The boycott includes Amazon and its affiliates, including Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Prime Video, Audible, Twitch, Ring, Zappos and Kindle.

The Amazon boycott is in addition to separate actions by other groups protesting Target and other retailers and businesses for their rollbacks of DEI initiatives.

Here’s the latest on these boycotts.

Temu makes a big change

Days after a key trade loophole closed, e-commerce platform Temu has overhauled its business model by halting shipments of Chinese-made goods to U.S. customers, Amaris Encinas reports.

Instead of offering American consumers a plethora of discounted products from China, the company is now selling goods shipped from warehouses based in the U.S.

Here’s what Temu shoppers should know.

Will interest rates go down?

The Federal Reserve is meeting and economists are expecting the board to hold interest rates steady when they end their meeting tomorrow.

Why won’t the Fed lower rates?
