Building on past series like 2013’s “The Bible” and the recent success of “Kevin Costner’s The West,” “The Bible Revealed” (a working title) deepens History’s commitment to epic storytelling rooted in spiritual and historical tradition, according to the network. Through expert commentary from renowned scholars and theologians, the series explores the foundational biblical events—such as the Great Flood, the Ten Plagues, and the Garden of Eden—through theological tradition, rigorous scientific inquiry and cultural resonance.

Per the synopsis, the series will “discuss the mysteries of Genesis to the epic of Exodus, examining these enduring stories in a way that is immersive, informed, and emotionally powerful.”

“”The Bible Revealed” reaffirms our mission to tell globally significant stories with depth and integrity and this series offers an opportunity to revisit these powerful stories in a fresh, compelling way for both long-time viewers and new generations,” The History Channel executive vice president and head of programming Eli Lehrer said. “We are proud to continue our legacy of producing premium documentary programming that explores the texts and traditions that have shaped our world. This is storytelling with reverence, scale, and vision—exactly the kind of project our audiences expect from us.”

“The Bible Revealed” will be produced by A+E Factual Studios (“It’s In the Game: Madden NFL,” “Dance Moms: A New Era” and “Holy Marvels with Dennis Quaid”). A+E Global Media holds worldwide distribution rights to “The Bible Revealed.”
