The first Monday in May has returned, along with dozens of immaculately crafted fashion and beauty looks to grace its red carpet. As this year’s dress code is “Tailored For You,” it’s no surprise that structured suiting in celebration of the Dandy was paired with polished hair styles and statement makeup to echo this year’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme. But as we know all too well, there’s no one way to interpret either.
Straight from the historic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bazaar editors are bookmarking beauty trends like swirling face-framing tendrils, worn by actors Ayo Edebri and Sydney Sweeney, along with gold medalist Simone Biles. Plus, the event featured a number of unapologetically bold eye looks, as seen on stylish stars like Lupita Nyong’o and Doja Cat. We’re also taking careful notes on game-changing glam moments seen at the evening’s event. For more of our favorites, read on for some of the best beauty looks at the 2025 Met Gala, ahead.
Doechii
We’re not sure what we’re more obsessed with: Grammy award-winning rapper Doechii’s circular ‘fro, monochromatic makeup look, or monogrammed Louis Vuitton cheek accent.
Sydney Sweeney
Actress Sydney Sweeney’s sultry eye look was the perfect complement to her vintage-inspired tendrils, crafted by celebrity stylist Glen Oropeza for FHI Heat.
Doja Cat
The eyes! The lips! Doja Cat brought pure ’80s glamour to the red carpet wearing Marc Jacobs. Her pastel eyeshadow coupled with a satin red lip wasn’t over the top, but just right for the occasion.
Gigi Hadid
Supermodel Gigi Hadid’s effortless pin-up girl hair styling was one of our favorites of the night.
Lupita Nyong’o
Smoldering eyeliner, glass skin, and bedazzled brows made a subtle statement in actress Lupita Nyong’o’s Met Gala beauty look, courtesy of Chanel Beauty.
Tracee Ellis Ross
A classic bold red lip served as a beauty anchor of Black Mirror star Tracee Ellis Ross’s stylish Marc Jacobs outfit.
Lisa
Lisa paired glass skin with blush placed high on the cheekbones under the eyes, perfect winged eyeliner, and glossy rose lips.
Serena Williams
The star’s golden finger waves were one of the most glam hair moments of the night.
Sabrina Carpenter
The Prada beauty ambassador served major makeup inspiration, wearing floating eyeliner done in a cool chocolate brown shade.
Ayo Edebiri
Kiss curls were one of the night’s biggest hair trends, as seen here on beloved actress Ayo Edebri
Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway’s half-up ponytail brought all eyes to her gorgeous face and statement necklace.
Megan Thee Stallion
There’s hair, and then there’s art. Megan Thee Stallion’s is the latter.
Kerry Washington
We love Kerry Washington’s long bubble ponytail that perfectly complemented her white, wide-brim hat.
Dua Lipa
Another kiss curl moment was seen on Dua Lipa.
Angel Reese
Basketball player Angel Reese also wore the biggest hair trend of the night, kiss curls.
Pamela Anderson
Pamela Anderson paired minimal makeup with a short bob and baby bangs.
Ego Nwodim
Actress and comedian Ego Nwodim wore the coolest sculptural hair look.
Sha’Carri Richardson
Sha’Carri Richardson’s nails were once again the star of the show at the Met Gala.
Nicole Kidman
Did Nicole Kidman cut her hair? Or is it a clever wig? Either way, we love it.
