Gracie Abrams is the latest performer to be struck by an object thrown onstage in the middle of a concert.

The pop star, whose career skyrocketed after she opened for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour, was hit in the head by an unidentified object thrown from the audience while she was performing a concert at one of her Australian tour stops in Brisbane, Queensland, earlier this week.

Fan-captured footage of the incident was posted to TikTok, where Abrams, 25, could be seen turning away from the crowd in the middle of a song when the object struck her in the head. She instantly turned around, looking confused, before crouching down to pick up the item and place it to the side.

The “Close To You” songstress didn’t directly address the crowd or the thrower of the object, but fans in the comments noticed that she looked “mad” over the incident.

“I’ve never seen her so mad. She does not deserve that,” one of her fans wrote under the TikTok clip, while other users agreed the incident was “rude” and “uncalled for.”

“i honestly can’t tell if she’s mad or just disappointed,” someone else argued.

“This is how artists get hurt,” another user added, while others pointed out that Abrams isn’t the first performer to deal with something like this. Other stars, including Kelsea Ballerini, Harry Styles and Billie Eilish have also been involved in similar situations.

“Why do ppl think it’s okay to throw things,” someone else commented, while another user added, “idk how many times it’s gotta be said to not throw things at artists while they’re on stage.”
