On top of announcing her twelfth studio album on Tuesday at little past midnight, The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift also broke a major personal record on her Instagram.
The clip of the pop star announcing her newest project on Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast New Heights has officially become her most viewed Instagram Reel ever, garnering over 130 million views less than 24 hours after it was posted. According to @TSUpdating on X, the reel received 121 million views in 12 hours. Currently, the clip has almost 4.8 million likes and 307,000 reposts.
The full episode featuring the “So High School” singer as a guest will be released on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old singer has been known for inserting Easter eggs and hidden messages in her lyrics, social media posts and outfits, which fans love to decode.
Many Swifties started speculating a release from Swift after her team posted cryptic messages on social media. First, Taylor Nation posted a photo dump of various moments from her Eras Tour. Each of Swift’s albums is associated with a specific color, and in each photo of the slideshow, she’s wearing orange. The post also included a photo with Swift performing with Sabrina Carpenter, which led many to believe a collaboration between the two will happen.
The caption for Taylor Nation’s post was “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’ ❤️🔥,” which sent fans into a frenzy.
Around the same time, the New Heights podcast teased Wednesday’s upcoming episode, writing on Instagram that they would be “coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest.” The graphic showed the brothers sitting on each side of a Swift-shaped silhouette, against a sparkly orange background.
Then later on Monday night, Swift’s official website quietly posted a shimmering orange countdown clock set to expire at 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday.
When the countdown ended, the New Heights podcast published the clip of Swift revealing her newest project and the album title.
“So I wanted to show you something,” she told the Kelce brothers, opening up a case with her initials written in orange and pulled out a record with the cover blurred out. “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.”
Details about the tracklist, album cover art and the release date are still a mystery, but Swifties are hoping for those details in the upcoming episode of New Heights, which can be streamed on YouTube, Wondery, Spotify and Apple Podcasts on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET.
