We all wondered how Taylor Swift rocked the stage in heels during her three-hour Eras Tour show, and she finally addressed the speculation.
Swift, 35, opened up about what went on behind the scenes of her Eras Tour while chatting with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce, during the Wednesday, August 13, episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
When Jason, 37, asked if Swift missed touring, she replied, “I miss it, but it’s like, it was perfect for what it was.”
She explained, “It was a lot of physical therapy. It was a lot of being in a state of perpetual physical discomfort.” Swift then compared the discomfort she experiences on tour to when Travis, 35, is being pummeled by other players while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I’m not getting hit by huge 300-pounders, but the heels for that long?!” the singer said about the tight end while widening her eyes.
Travis then jumped in, reflecting on the first time seeing her set up in a hotel room after belting out her heart on stage. “When I first saw the recovery room in the hotel room after, with the toe spacers,” he shared with a laugh.
“I got an acupuncture mat,” Swift added.
The couple, who started dating in the summer of 2023, agreed that the physical toll of both their jobs is similar.
While on tour, Swift wore everything from block heels and cowgirl boots to booties, slippers and more, all of which were custom-made by Christian Louboutin.
When she first stepped on stage for her Lover era, Swift was wearing the designer’s Eleonora Botta heels. By the end of the tour, she had shown off different colors of the boots, which were adorned with strass crystals. She had a blue ombré pair, a pink look, silver, and of course, a sunset orange set which hinted at her upcoming 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl.

During her Fearless era, Swift changed into a knee-high Cate Boot before rocking custom lace-up ankle booties while singing hits from Folklore and Evermore. Moving onto her Red era, Swift rocked the brand’s CL Moc Lug loafers before moving into 1989, in which she sported glittery booties.
In her last two eras, Swift slayed in custom sandals for her Tortured Poets Department setlist and ended the concert in the brand’s Gael knee-high boots while jamming out to Midnights.
