One Taylor Swift fan’s speculation about her upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl has other Swifties feeling rather emotional.
With nothing more to go on about her 12th studio album so far than its name, which was announced shortly after midnight on Aug. 12 in a preview clip from her New Heights debut, coming later this week, fans have already started predicting what we might be able to expect from the album, and one X user’s guess hit hard.

“YOURE GONNA MAKE ME CRY,” one exclaimed in response to the idea.
It also sparked several other theories from fans, with one replying, “I would go as far & say this is a sister album to The Tortured Poets Department,” predicting it may serve as a happier follow-up to the “messy first year [of the Eras Tour] involving her relationships with Joe [Alwyn] & Matty [Healy].”
Some even drew parallels to the highly anticipated, though only rumored, documentary about the Eras Tour, with several declaring that The Life of a Showgirl would be a fantastic name for the project, should it actually exist.
