Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven’t been seen out in public (other than in blurry fan pics) since the 2025 Super Bowl, and it doesn’t look like that’s changing anytime soon. Rumor has it the couple are skipping the 2025 Met Gala, though think we can all agree there’s a 10/10 chance that they were both invited.
That said, this isn’t a huge surprise. Despite attending multiple events together and kissing in public, Taylor and Travis have never walked a red carpet. And on top of that, sources say they’re currently enjoying their downtime away from the spotlight—which is the exact opposite vibe of the Met Gala.
A source recently told People that Tay and Trav “have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it. They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It’s a special time for them.” The insider added that they’re “very serious and in sync,” and that “they value the same things. Right now, the focus is very much on private time out of the spotlight.”
Us Weekly previously reported that Travis “felt like he got caught up in his newfound fame,” and a source told the outlet that “Taylor and Travis have learned that so much attention on their relationship is not the best thing. Travis wants to take [a breather] from the public eye. He was working too much last year, and he didn’t play as well as he wanted. He wants to have a good season and not have the focus be on his relationship with Taylor.”
