Sydney Sweeney Under Fire For ‘Inappropriate’ Dress Worn To A Wedding

Although the bride, Powell’s sister, seemed very happy with Sweeney, as seen in photos shared online, fans took to social media to criticize the actress for rocking a dress that looked more white than blue.

However, sources with insider knowledge cited “major issues” as to why Sweeney called off the wedding, though it remains unclear if the couple has officially ended their relationship.

The insider told the Daily Mail that Sweeney and Davino were going through a “rough patch” and trying to “reassess” whether they should remain together.

The actress has not been seen with Davino since January and has reportedly been staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel since mid-February amid their alleged relationship troubles.

Sweeney further fueled the split rumors this week when she deleted a picture of her and Davino kissing from an Instagram album she had posted to celebrate the new year.

People Magazine recently confirmed that the pair had called off their wedding. A source close to the situation told the news outlet that the actress did not “right” about marrying Davino.

The source also noted that, unlike most people, Sweeney was not “overwhelmed” by her work and was instead stressed about a potential wedding.

“She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” the source said.

Another source told Us Weekly that Sweeney and Davino have been dealing with issues in their romance.

The insider said, “Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split. Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”

“They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it. Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress,” the insider further claimed.

The source added, “A lot of their issues stem from Sydney being extremely busy with work commitments.”
