The Swifties have found yet another invisible string between Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Kelce, 35, spoke to reporters during a press conference held on Wednesday, August 6, during the Kansas City Chiefs’ 13th day of training camp. It is also the start of Kelce’s 13th year on the Chiefs.
Devoted fans of Swift, also 35, quickly remembered that the pop star’s favorite number is, famously, 13.
“Someone in Kansas City needs a raise! You are telling me that Travis Kelce hasn’t spoken to the media all Training Camp, but his first time just HAPPENS to fall on Day 13,” one fan wrote via X. “The Swifties have fully infiltrated the Chiefs media team!”

Another added, “The Chiefs media knows what they are doing.”
While speaking to the press, Kelce didn’t address his famous girlfriend and, instead, reiterated his laser-sharp focus going into the next NFL season.
“[I’m] trying to win Super Bowls, man,” he quipped of his work ethic during practices. “It’s the only way you get there, and I think it starts in the offseason. You get out here to St. Joe, and you get into training camp, it really signifies coming together, the chemistry, the culture that you need to keep getting better every single day, every single week throughout the year.”
The tight end further noted that he “eats, breathes and sleeps” football throughout training camp.
“I’ve been lucky to be here for my 13th year now,” Kelce said. “I just absolutely love this organization. I love the team, I love the coaches. I know just about every defensive coach, as well as all the offensive coaches and vice versa with the players and the staff in the equipment room. I have fun coming into work every single day.”
Kelce also spoke about his quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ leadership this summer with a subtle and brief nod to Swift herself.

“Being away this offseason and coming back into training camp [shows] how fast his mind is moving,” Kelce said. “It seems like he’s always a step ahead, and his arm is alive right now. It’s fun to see him know the play, know where he’s going before the snap happens. On top of that, just being a leader and being our biggest, fearless competitor.”
Fearless, of course, is also the name of one of Swift’s albums.
Swift and Kelce have been together since summer 2023 after a missed connection at her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City that July and a shout-out on his “New Heights” podcast. They made their public debut as a couple during one of the Chiefs’ football games in September 2023, and Swift is now a frequent staple in the stands.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift told TIME in a December 2023 profile. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Swift even cheered on Kelce at back-to-back Super Bowls, where she celebrated her man when his team won in 2024 and consoled his loss in the championship game earlier this year.
