Susan Sarandon‘s daughter, Eva Amurri, shared her candid thoughts about the nepo baby backlash that children of celebrities receive.
While Amurri, 40, has made a name for herself as an actress, she’s currently living a life outside of Hollywood in Connecticut.
“I’m pretty sure everyone in my town knows who my parents are,” she told People in an interview published on Monday, August 4.
Despite knowing that she has eyes on her, Amurri made it clear that she doesn’t care what people think. “People just have all different kind of perceptions of it. And to be honest, I’m like a 40-year-old mom, three kids, married for the second time,” she said. “I really have no interest in correcting them. So I just don’t, you know what I mean? I don’t really care.”
Amurri, whom Sarandon, 78, shares with ex Franco Amurri, has acted in projects including The Banger Sisters, That’s My Boy and Mothers and Daughters. Additionally, she’s been able to provide for herself by working on content creation for her brand, Happily Eva After, and documenting her current home renovation project on YouTube.
During a previously published interview with People, Amurri explained that she launched her lifestyle brand when she felt “a really deep dissatisfaction and yearning for something more” in her career.

“I wanted to be more in control of my own destiny,” she explained. “And I felt like I was constantly just at the mercy of other people allowing me to work, and that has never been in keeping with my personality.”
Amurri also revealed that she wanted to set a good example for her children. “I thought, I can’t tell my daughter that she needs to find satisfaction in life and be inspired and feel connected to her work and her life, and then not be exhibiting those exact same things in my own life,” she said. “It just felt extremely hypocritical and lame, to be honest.”
