The legendary actor’s daughter is sharing her experience on the surgery table after she went in for a breast reduction last month. This comes months after she hit back at critics about her chest size during her wedding to Ian Hock.

Susan Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri, caused controversy at her wedding last year when she donned a dress with a very risque neckline that drew criticism all over the internet.

Last week, the actress shared a video following her recent plastic surgery, during which her husband, Ian Hock, drove her home. In the video, she opened up about experiencing a “mental breakdown” before the procedure but reassured her followers that the surgery was ultimately “easy” and “great.” 

She became emotional as she expressed gratitude for the thoughtful snacks her doctor provided, saying: “Oh my god. She gave me chunks. They’re so nice, they’re so nice.”

The star later took to the comment section to drop a funny line about her actions in the video: “ALSO: WHO DID I THINK I WAS FILMING THIS FOR.” Other commenters added that they found her post-op shenanigans very hilarious, as it seemed as if she was still under the effects of anesthesia.

Amurri has been open about her post-op journey, sharing insightful updates and personal experiences. She kicked things off with a mirror selfie, dressed in a charming green-and-white striped tracksuit and a flesh-colored padded bralette.

In her posts, she provided helpful recovery tips, including a playful note about the challenges of using her heavier Stanley water bottle. Instead, she opted for a lighter water bottle with a straw to make hydration easier post-surgery.

Another struggle has been adjusting to sleeping on her back, which she dreads. Despite purchasing special pillows to aid her sleep, she anticipates these next few weeks will be difficult. 

To stay active, Amurri shared that she has been going for daily walks, although her doctor has advised only gentle activity.

Managing her hair has also posed a challenge. After a salon visit where she flaunted a fresh blow-dry, Amurri realized she could not handle the effort of blow-drying her hair at home due to her healing process. 

As a treat, she decided to indulge in a package of blowouts at a nearby salon that she can easily walk to, and she is pleased with the decision.

The 40-year-old has also been navigating her recovery with surprising physical responses, such as random bruising that has surfaced during this challenging time.

She reflected on the strangeness of seeing her body marked in this way, recognizing that it symbolizes her journey through trauma. Determined to be kind to herself, she views the coming weeks as a crucial opportunity for self-nurturing.

Another significant emotional challenge for Amurri has been learning to embrace downtime. She candidly admitted that resting is more difficult for her than she anticipated.

Amurri noted that she often feels guilty when she is not engaged in activities that seem productive. This recovery period has prompted her to reassess her thoughts and feelings about her self-worth and value, a contemplation she intends to continue.

As shared by Page Six, Amurri donned a strapless Kim Kassas dress for her wedding day. The highlight of the gorgeous dress was the corset-style neckline, which caused lots of conversations on her big day.

While critics expressed mixed feelings about the bride’s gown, with some deeming it “unflattering,” Amurri thought it was the ideal blend of “sexy” and “elegant.”

She expressed her affection for the dress in an interview, highlighting its vintage appeal and feminine charm without being excessive. Amurri aimed to feel both sexy and elegant on her special day, believing the dress achieved that perfect balance.

Before the wedding, she shared her excitement about choosing a “sexier” gown that truly mirrored her identity as a woman. Amurri married Ian Hock in a quaint ceremony in New York’s Hudson Valley, surrounded by about 40 guests.

Attendees included her mother, Sarandon, and ex-partner Tim Robbins, celebrating with a French garden party-inspired theme. The actress described the day in her Instagram story as “the most special day filled with so much love and the most incredible energy.”

Amurri’s marriage to Hock marked her second attempt at exchanging nuptial vows. In 2019, The Blast shared that the star announced her split from her ex, Kyle Martino.

They were married in 2011 and have three children together. The star was reportedly pregnant with her third child at the time of the divorce. The actress’s statement read:

“Our family is starting down a new path. After a lot of thoughtful consideration and work on our relationship, we have made the difficult decision to lovingly part ways as a couple. We are committed to, and excited about, raising our three beautiful children as close friends and deep partners, and we have the utmost respect for one another.”

The estranged couple expressed their gratitude for the wonderful experiences shared over the past decade together. Amurri noted that they have come to recognize that the best path to happiness for their family involves pursuing a new direction. 

“We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate this new transition for our family. All the love, Eva & Kyle,” she concluded.
