After serving as a contestant on Survivor: Marquesas, Survivor: All-Stars, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, Survivor: Redemption Island and Survivor: Winners at War — as well as as a mentor on Survivor: Island of the Idols — “Boston” Rob Mariano‘s long-lived Survivor stint might have come to a close, but it looks like he is not stepping out of the limelight anytime soon.
Since competing on Survivor for the final time (allegedly), the Boston, Massachusetts native has participated in the first season of Deal or No Deal Island and the third season of The Traitors, also partaking in a great deal of red carpets and other high-profile events along the way.
Recently walking the red carpet at the Kentucky Derby alongside his wife, fellow “Sole Survivor” Amber Brkich — teasing to the media that Dancing With the Stars could be in his future — Rob hit yet another red carpet over the weekend. This time, he stepped out at the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning premiere in an oh-so sharp all-black ensemble, twinning with the star of the franchise himself: Tom Cruise.

Today (May 19), Rob shared a photo posing alongside Cruise on the red carpet — which took place outside of AMC Lincoln Square in New York City — captioning the post “Epic! My guy @tomcruise still crushing!” Naturally, this crossover caused an uproar from fans in the comment section, with one Instagram user writing, “Whhhuuuutttt? Two of my fave gents right there! Hoping Amber saw him too,” and another writing, “Damn Rob!! You in the big leagues now!!”
“What a legend…… and Tom Cruise 💪🏽,” The Challenge veteran Mark Long jokingly added.
