The regional round of the NCAA softball tournament has come and gone, and there were a few upsets along the way.
No. 1 Texas A&M was upset by Liberty at its own regional in Bryan-College Station, Texas, becoming the first No. 1 seed to fail to make it out of the first weekend in college softball history. No. 9 LSU also failed to make the regional final, as it fell to Southeastern Louisiana twice before Nebraska and Jordy Bahl took the regional title.

Ole Miss also won No. 13 Arizona’s regional, along with Georgia taking No. 14 Duke’s regional.
Now, teams shift their focus to the super regionals, a best two-of-three series with the winner earning a spot at the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.
