Remakes are a part of life these days, and they’re pretty controversial. Some of them are highly anticipated, while others leave fans wondering why they’re even happening. In the case of Netflix’s Frankenstein, fans of the classic work are welcoming it with open arms.

Frankenstein will be out this November, and it’s shaping up to be yet another slam-dunk for the sensational Guillermo del Toro, who has directed several other feature films. If you’re going to go on a GDT binge to prepare for this movie, I recommend starting with The Shape of Water. Life-changing!
Many fans (particularly Gen Z fans) are ecstatic about this film, mostly because Jacob Elordi will be playing the role of the monster. Their costumes, are incredible, as we can see from the stills, but there’s one thing this film has left fans wanting: a proper theatrical release.
Given that this is a Netflix film, it will be available to stream on Netflix when it drops. However, fans are wishing they could experience this masterpiece in the cinema! One wrote, “I need to feel this one on the big screen!”
At this time, Netflix has no plans for a theatrical release, though it’s not out of the realm of possibility. A few Netflix films have had limited theatrical releases, so don’t give up hope for Frankstein just yet.
