Appearing on the Monday, Aug. 4 episode of The Kelly ClarksonShow, the 23-year-old actress confirmed it was “emotional” to film the series’ fifth and final season as she stated, “It’s been like ten years—nine, ten years something like that.”

“And you’re young,” Clarkson chimed in, “so that’s a long time.”

“I just turned 23,” Sink replied, noting that she was only 14 years old when she first appeared in the show’s second season.

“I was really sad to say goodbye to it,” the actress confessed, while adding, “What a good thing that after 10 years it can be hard to say goodbye to something.”

Sink stars in the hit sci-fi horror series alongside former child actors Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo and Noah Schnapp, who were all between the ages of 11-14 when they filmed the show’s first season.

Nearly a decade after it premiered in July 2016, Stranger Things will officially end with Season 5, which will be released in three installments at the end of 2025.
