Dr. Seuss fans have heard of Green Eggs and Ham, the classic children’s book that encourages young readers to try new things here or there.

But what about green eggs and Spam? Would you like them anywhere?

Fans will now be able to answer that question, as Spam and Dr. Seuss Enterprises are joining forces with the launch of a limited-edition Green Eggs & Spam classic twin pack that features collectible can artwork, available exclusively at select Walmart stores nationwide.

“The limited-time-only Green Eggs & Spam Classic Twin Pack offers fans a nostalgic journey back to childhood,” said Dan Kubiak, senior brand manager for the Spam brand, in a statement shared with Parade. “Fans have been creating their own green eggs and Spam product combinations for years, but now we’re making it official. In collaboration with the Dr. Seuss Enterprises team, we’ve created a whimsical pairing that celebrates creativity, flavor and fun in every can.”

Jimeka Brussard, Director of North American Licensing at Dr. Seuss Enterprises, agreed. “The iconic rhythm and rhymes of Dr. Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham have now been a staple in children’s literature for 65 years. Few know it was actually written using only 50 words. We’re thinking the 51st word would have been Spam! We can’t wait to see what kind of dishes our fans whip up with this one-of-a-kind collaboration,” Brussard said in a statement shared with Parade.

Limited-edition co-branded merchandise, including apparel and accessories, will also be available for purchase on shop.drseuss.com while supplies last.

The collaboration brings together two icons that have delighted fans for generations ahead of the book’s 65th anniversary on Aug. 12.

Spam, which first hit the market in 1937, has been celebrating its 88th anniversary in style. Earlier this year, Disney fans were thrilled when Spam released limited-edition Lilo & Stitch cans ahead of the premiere of the live-action version of the beloved movie.
