Singer Blasts Fan for ‘Swinging’ 1-Year-Old Baby During Concert originally appeared on Parade.
Latin musician Maluma blasted an audience member in the middle of his show for bringing their one-year-old baby to the concert.
“Maluma stops his show to scold a mother who carried a one-year-old baby without protecting his ears,” EstiloDF recorded the moment and shared the clip on TikTok on Sunday, August 10.
“That is an act of irresponsibility,” the Grammy-nominated artist, 31, said on stage during a recent show. “And you’re swinging him around as if he were a toy. That child doesn’t want to be there.”
Fans praised Maluma, whose real name is Juan Luis Londoño Arias, for standing up for what was right, whether it was a fan or not.
“He played the role of a father before becoming a singer,” one fan wrote in the comments section of the post.
Other people agreed that the event was no place for a child to be, and were appalled that the baby was allowed entry.
“Imagine how uncomfortable it must be for him to be putting on a show while watching the child suffer,” a second person commented. “I don’t think what he did was disproportionate at all.”
“Who would even think of bringing a baby?” a third person commented. “If you have a baby and no one to leave it with, then you don’t go. I totally agree with him, and I’m a mother.”
Maluma is also a parent and shares daughter Paris with girlfriend Susana Gómez. The couple welcomed their first child together in March 2024. The doting parents announced Susana’s pregnancy when he debuted the music video for “Procura” during a concert in October 2023.
“Now, I wake up every day with the desire to conquer the world. I know I have to f—–g kill it,” he told Allure three months later. “For Paris, nothing is impossible. You have to lead by example. … I want to make her proud.”
