Simu Liu has found his forever person.
The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor, 36, revealed on Instagram on Sunday, May 11 that he and girlfriend Allison Hsu got engaged. Liu shared photos of his Paris proposal as Hsu, 28, showed off her ring.
“Us forever,” Hsu wrote in the caption.
In another Instagram post, Liu wrote, “From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch and everything in between, I choose you forever and always.”
She replied in the comment section, “I love you fiancé!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Liu and the marketing director were first romantically linked in late 2022.
“She’s absolutely changed my life, so I’m very, very grateful to have her,” he told PEOPLE in August 2023. Later, in November 2023, the Barbie star told PEOPLE that he felt a “breath of relief” after finding Hsu.
“I think everyone knows the feeling of being in a situation where they’re not fully happy, and then all of a sudden for that to change … it’s such a breath of relief,” he said at the time. “It’s this feeling of ‘Oh, right, it does exist.’ You start to feel like, okay, maybe I’ve just been conditioned to want something that doesn’t exist or I have unrealistic expectations.”
Liu, who is currently busy filming 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday, added that “we’ve been tremendously happy.”
“I feel challenged and loved and cared for, and I feel championed,” he said. “I think the best, healthiest relationships are ones where you have each other’s back, and I definitely feel like that’s the case.”
