It’s nearly impossible to beat Simone Biles at anything—she has a diamond goat necklace for a reason—and that includes going for the title of Best Dressed at the Met Gala.
The seven-time Olympic Gold Medalist sailed down the blue carpet at the 2025 Met Gala in an electric blue mini dress featuring a flowing train with a matching clutch and sky-high platform heels. She walked down the blue carpet hand-in-hand with her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. Owens was dressed in a white suit with a furry stole over his shoulder.
This is Biles’s second appearance at the Met Gala. She previously attended in 2021, wearing a showgirl-inspired black and silver gown designed by New York–based label Area in accordance with the event’s theme that year: “In America: a Lexicon of Fashion.”
The theme for the 2025 Met Gala is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” This year’s co-chairs are Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo, musician and Louis Vuitton men’s creative director Pharrell Williams, and Grammy-nominated rapper A$AP Rocky, along with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. NBA star and three-time Olympic champion LeBron James is an honorary chair.
Biles was also named a member of the 2025 Met Gala host committee in February. Athletes have a strong presence among Met Gala leadership this year. Along with Biles, Owens, Hamilton, and James, WNBA star Angel Reese, Olympic champion sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson are also on the host committee.
