Actor Shia LaBeouf looked unkempt and unrecognizable while out and about on the streets of Los Angeles on June 22.
The former child star, 39, wore sunglasses as he strolled around LA, but also donned an uncontrolled and unkempt salt and pepper beard in addition to his signature mustache, making him look extremely incognito at a glance despite not being bundled up on account of the weather. He also wore a cream yellow button-up, blue pants that were cropped just above the ankle, with socks and black slides to finish off the look.
LaBeouf has not been photographed publicly at events or out and about on his own since the Cannes Film Festival last month in the south of France. While attending the festival, he made an appearance on the red carpet for the premiere of Wes Anderson’s latest film The Phonecian Scheme. He also attended the photocall for Slauson Rec, a documentary about the free Los Angeles acting class LaBeouf teaches and the impact his practices have had on his students. The film was made by Leo Lewis O’Neill, one of LaBeouf’s original acting students.
Earlier that month, he also attended the Santa Monica premiere of Henry Johnson, a new prison drama by legendary playwright David Mamet. LaBeouf stars in the film, which follows two men caught in an uneven power dynamic within the American correctional system, alongside Evan Joingkeit.
In addition to his doc and the new Mamet project, LaBeouf also recently starred in Salvable, a crime drama about an aging boxer trying to get out of a small town and repair his relationship with his daughter at the same time. LaBeouf helmed the project alongside costars Toby Kebbell, Kila Lord Cassidy, and James Cosmo.
LaBeouf is married to frequent horror actress Mia Goth. They met on the set of a film in 2012 and married on whim in Las Vegas in 2016. Two years later, they divorced in 2018, only to reconcile in 2022, just before their first child, a daughter, was born.
