Sharon Osbourne’s grief is still fresh, but she’s finding comfort in the support pouring in from those who admired her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne.
One day after the Black Sabbath icon passed away on Tuesday, July 22 at the age of 76, Sharon, 72, shared her appreciation for Gavin Rossdale’s heartfelt tribute to the rock legend.
Rossdale, 59, who met Ozzy through the musician’s son, posted a photo on Instagram of himself with Ozzy, captioning it: “RIP OZZY – a great man – a true legend.” He continued, “I met Ozzy through Jack just a few times but he was so warm and kind and funny and I love that memory. Sending much love to his family at this difficult time. Rest in power.”
Sharon responded in the comment section with a simple yet touching message: “Bless you.” At the time of writing, it has received well over a thousand likes.

The two-word response marks Sharon’s first public comment since her joint family statement announcing Ozzy’s passing the previous day. The statement conveyed their overwhelming sadness: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” It was signed by ”Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Following the news, tributes to Ozzy poured in from stars like Elton John, who called him a “true legend,” and Joan Jett, who said the rocker holds a special place in her heart to Baltimore’s 98 Rock radio. Actor Jason Momoashared a photo of himself with the Osbournes, writing, “Love you @ozzyosbourne. So grateful. RIP.”
In addition to he and Sharon’s shared three children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne, Ozzy is father to adopted son Elliot, plus son Louis and JessicaStarshine Osbourne from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.
