Sharna Burgess is ready to be back in the ballroom when the time is right.

The Dancing With the Stars pro, 39, opened up about hopefully returning to the long-running dance competition series for Season 34 while chatting exclusively with Parade at the 32nd annual Race to Erase MS Gala at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Friday, May 16.

Burgess, who made her debut as a pro during Season 16 in 2013, last competed on the show during Season 30 with fiancé Brian Austin Green.

“I would love to be in some capacity. I would really, really enjoy that,” she says. “I judge Dancing with the Stars in Australia. I really love that role, too. If they’re doing guest spots for it, that would be phenomenal. I’d love to jump in. I really want to always continue my relationship with the show. I adore them. They are my family, as you can see. So whether it’s me sitting in the audience or in some other way, I will for sure be there.”

As for whether she’d rather be behind the judges’ table than on the stage, Burgess tells Parade that she couldn’t possibly choose one over the other.

“It’s like picking a favorite child,” she explains. “They’re completely different experiences, but I truly am in love with the judging experience, and I love what I can bring to the table as having the experience on the other side, so who knows. But as I said, they are my family, and I’ll be involved in some way.”

Burgess and Green, 50, were amongst the celebs at Friday night’s soiree, which was hosted by multiple sclerosis (MS) advocate and Center Without Walls founder Nancy Davis. The event raised over $1.5 million to benefit the Race to Erase MS and its Center Without Walls program to help fund treatments and find a cure for MS.

Hosted by Caroline Rhea, the gala also featured performances by Robin Thicke, A Great Big World and Siedah Garrett along with a Veronica Beard fashion show.

“This is our 32nd year. We’ve done a lot of these. It’s nothing short of a miracle that everyone’s still coming out,” Davis says. “We have 25 drugs on the market now to help stop the progression of MS, so somebody being diagnosed today versus when I was diagnosed, the future’s bright. There’s so much. I think we’ve raised around $60 million, but we’ve spent it very carefully and we have some amazing drugs on the market. They’re really helping a lot of people live a different quality of life, so I’m really grateful that we can do that.”
