Shakira had a reunion with Wyclef Jean.
On Tuesday, May 6, the pair appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where they performed Shakira’s 2005 hit “Hips Don’t Lie” from her album Oral Fixation Vol. 2 in honor of its 20th anniversary.
At the beginning of the performance, Shakira, 48, appeared lying in a red dress on the sand, before she stood up and began sensually gyrating her hips. After a longer intro, the Haitian rapper, 55, who was featured on the track, appeared to deliver his verses alongside the Colombian singer.

In 2022, the Colombian singer celebrated “Hips Don’t Lie” reaching 1 billion Spotify streams in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“Wow! One billion streams for ‘Hips Don’t Lie,’ ” Shakira wrote in the caption alongside an image of her celebrating the milestone with a plaque.
She added: “Thank you to @spotify for the plaque, to @wyclefjean for the collaboration and to all of you for your incredible support. One billion streams don’t lie!” the audio streaming platform replied in the comments section. “This track will always be a bop 🔥”
Following its release in 2005, “Hips Don’t Lie” landed atop Billboard‘s Hot 100, US Hot Latin Songs and US Pop Airplay charts.
After postponing the start of the North American leg of her 2025 Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour from November 2024, Shakira is set to kick off her tour on Tuesday, May 13, in Charlotte, N.C. at the Bank of America Stadium.
Because the Grammy winner’s latest run ended up being “the biggest tour” of her career, it required “stadiums in the USA,” she said per a statement.
