Shakira was pretty in pink at the Met Gala.
The singer, 48, returned to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5 wearing a princess-like pink gown with a voluminous train.
The Prabal Gurung creation featured cutouts down the sides and a voluminous train. She wore sheer black gloves and added a pink gemstone pendant necklace that matched the dress. The singer’s honey blonde hair was styled into bouncy waves, cascading down to her waist, and she sported a soft pink makeup look.
Gurung was by her side during the red carpet and made sure her dress was perfectly placed for the cameras.

The fundraiser for the Costume Institute spotlights the museum’s spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The exhibit explores “the Black dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier,” said curator in Charge Andrew Bolton.
The Met Gala’s dress code this year is “Tailored for You,” a nod to the museum exhibition’s focus on menswear and suiting.

Last May marked Shakira’s debut at the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,”-themed Met Gala. She made a red-hot entrance in a Carolina Herrera flamenco-style gown. The voluminous red dress included a dramatic train and sleeved cape that resembled an abstract rose.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer showed some leg with the sexy thigh-high slit and matching red platform heels. In an interview with Vogue, stylist Nicolas Bru said the team encountered a little bit of an emergency when the shoes came out the wrong color and needed to be re-dyed last minute. The styling team was intentional about getting “the perfect monochromatic look,” Bru told Vogue.

The bodice of the gown included a waistline cutout and sweetheart neckline embellished with a sparkly 1965 floral brooch from Cartier Paris, which included a Burmese ruby surrounded by baguette diamonds.
The singer accessorized with touches of sparkle, including a diamond rope necklace and silver rings.
