Shakira accidentally revealed Rihanna’s big secret ahead of her arrival at the 2025 Met Gala.
While speaking with NBC Los Angeles on the blue carpet of fashion’s biggest night, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer, 48, shared that she was most excited to see the “Love on the Brain” singer, 37, during the event.
“Rihanna! I want to see her. I want to see her so bad, and I just heard the news too,” she said before enlightening the reporter about the singer’s exciting news. “She’s pregnant.”
Immediately after she said the words, Shakira’s hands flew up to her face and she appeared horrified, before asking, “Am I not supposed to say that?” The “Beautiful Liar” singer then laughed it off before heading to her next interview.

After her big reveal that she’s expecting her third baby with rapper A$AP Rocky at the 2025 Met Gala, the Grammy winner spoke with Access Hollywood and shared the one thing that she’s relieved she doesn’t have to do anymore now that the exciting news is officially out.
“I feel a lot better that I don’t have to suck my stomach in anymore,” she told the outlet.
Ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, the “Love on the Brain” singer’s photographer Miles Diggs revealed the news on Instagram. Diggs shared a photo of the pregnant singer in the rain with her baby bump on full display.

Rocky, 36, who is a co-chair of this year’s Met Gala, told reporters on the red carpet, including the Associated Press, that “it feels amazing” to be expecting again with Rihanna, adding, “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up.”
“And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know,” he said.
Rocky added, “Honestly, it’s a blessing nonetheless. Because you know how like some people in other situations at times can be envious of other people. But we’ve been seeing love for the most part. And we real receptive to that and appreciate that, you know what I mean?”
He ended his comments with a simple: “That’s love. Love is love.”
