Selma Blair’s son is another year older!
On Friday, July 25, the actress, 53, celebrated her son Arthur’s 14th birthday with a series of throwback photos on Instagram. The newly minted 14-year-old could be seen posing on a motorcycle, spending time at the beach, walking beside a horse and posing with his mom.
She also included a sweet video of friends gathered around a lit-up chocolate cake to sing happy birthday to Arthur.
“Happy 14th birthday Arthur 🎂🤍♥️. I am so proud to be your Mom,” Blair wrote in her caption. “And when you laugh, my whole life seems to sing. You are our hearts. We love you so much. Thank you for being Arthur Saint . Ps. You are hilarious and adorable.”

Blair shares her son with ex Jason Bleick.
Although Blair is known for her roles in movies like Legally Blonde, the star has previously shared that her son doesn’t watch any of the movies she’s starred in for one hilarious reason.
While speaking with PEOPLE in April, the actress shared that her son might have the wrong idea about what kind of movies she’s in. “I said, ‘Why don’t you ever want to watch a movie of mine?’ He said, ‘Because all your movies are in black and white,’ ” she hilariously told PEOPLE. “I was like, ‘Pardon? Come again?’ He’s like, ‘Aren’t they?’ I die.”
“He thinks that I’m from 1930. I’m not joking,” added Blair. “My son thinks all my films are in black and white.”
However, there’s one movie that Blair’s son watched and enjoyed — 1999’s Cruel Intentions.
“I spoke to my son and I said, ‘What did you do with your girlfriend this weekend?’ He’s like, ‘We watched Cruel Intentions.’ I couldn’t get him to watch a film of mine ever,” Blair recalled to PEOPLE last September.

“I mean, I’ve tried, he’s never watched. But with a girl, he’ll watch Cruel Intentions, and I was like, ‘Oh dear,’ ” she added, noting that it’s a “sexy movie.”
She said her son even mimicked one of the more explicit gestures in the film and asked her about it — putting her on the spot. “He’s like, ‘Mom, what was that?’ Because my character Cecile does it,” Blair explained. “It was naughty. It was naughty, is my point.”
