Gio Helou and his wife are getting candid about experiencing a second miscarriage.
On Wednesday, April 30, the Selling the OC star and his wife Tiffany shared a joint post on Instagram where they reflected on experiencing two miscarriages in six months. “After walking through the hardest season of grief I’ve ever experienced, I’ve never been more thankful that I married my best friend,” Tiffany wrote over the video.
“We filmed this reel when I was still pregnant, in the early weeks when we still were filled with so much joy. I had an entirely different caption in mind at the time,” Tiffany wrote in her caption. “When I found this video on my phone today, I was at first envious of the pure happiness those two people felt back then.”

“But then I thought, I couldn’t imagine walking through what we have been going through with anyone else by my side and I have hope for these two that we’ll have this same happiness again in the future,” she continued. “As a couple we’ve been through our share of ups and downs, but never was our marriage tested as it has been through this season.”
“We’ve proven stronger than ever… and we don’t take any credit for that. It’s all by the grace of God and our reliance on him.”
A few days ago, Tiffany and Gio shared that they’d experienced a second miscarriage in less than six months in a post on Instagram.
“We are grieving a second pregnancy loss in less than six months. This recent loss has been significantly harder to endure than the first, but we are leaning on God and are forever grateful for our family and friends who are supporting us during this time,” they wrote in a joint post.

“A positive pregnancy test taken just before Gio’s birthday brought us well-timed joy, and a series of blood tests gave us every hope that this was a healthy pregnancy. After an ectopic miscarriage in November, we were sure that God was now blessing us with our rainbow baby.”
However, when the couple went in for an early ultrasound at 6 weeks pregnant, they were told something was wrong. After three weeks, Tiffany and Gio were told the pregnancy had not survived.
“At just over 9 weeks pregnant, I had a D&C surgery and am now focused on physical and emotional recovery,” Tiffany said. “This experience has tested our faith and our marriage, but both are stronger than ever. We live in a broken world and this pain and loss is part of being human… but it does not negate God’s power. We firmly believe God is good and know he has been grieving with us.”
The couple welcomed their son Theodore Georges in September 2023.
