The Rare Beauty founder posted a photo to Instagram debuting her latest hairstyle with the help of celebrity hairstylist Orlando Pita
The look includes tousled bangs with a layered wolf cut-style bob
Selena Gomez is trying out bangs without the full commitment.
The Rare Beauty founder, 32, showed off a new wolf cut hairstyle, which she revealed was actually a wig, in a Sunday, June 23 Instagram post. Gomez has embraced bangs multiple times over the years, but this time around she’s keeping them temporary.
The maintenance and upkeep of bangs isn’t for the faint of heart and can lead to a big commitment, which the singer pointed out in her caption.
“I would, but I’d regret it, then get it redone so I simply wont #bangs,” Gomez wrote.

In her selfie showcasing her new hairstyle, Gomez wore a white, fluffy bathrobe as she struck a pouty-lipped pose for the camera.

The wolf cut includes lots of messy layers and added volume. The overall effect adds up to a fun change from the Only Murders in the Building star’s usual styles.
Gomez’s longtime makeup artist Hung Vanngo, who also works with Scarlett Johansson and Halle Berry, was the first to premiere Gomez’s short-term style for the world to seen in an Instagram post on Friday.
Vanngo captioned the selfie of him and Gomez, “New hair, who dis?” which was a fun play on Gomez’s bang debut post in March 2022 where she used the same caption.

The man responsible for Gomez’s stylish do is Orlando Pita, who was the last glam team expert to cut Gomez’s bangs in 2022. Orlando has quite the running list of celebrity clientele including Julianne Moore, Anne Hathaway and Lady Gaga.

Most recently Gomez has been the queen of the slick back bun. When her hair is down, she’s most commonly known for styling her tresses in a middle part, but more recently the singer has been playing with an exaggerated side part.
At the 2025 Academy Awards, Gomez styled her collarbone length bob in a side part with bouncy curls by Hollywood hairstylist Renato Campora.
Either way, Gomez may just prove that bangs are poised for a comeback, with or without a full commitment.
