Selena Gomez Is a Red Rose Come to Life in This Slinky Minidress

Selena Gomez has been wearing rosettes all over the red carpet for over a year now, and with her latest look, she fully became the rose.

The Emilia Pérez star looked fantastic as she stepped out on Wednesday to attend a Rare Beauty event in New York City’s SoHo. The monochrome look was composed of bright-red pieces, the standout which was a slinky minidress with a turtleneck, embellished with a large 3D rose on the hip.

The “Ojos Tristes” singer wore the mini with a matching oversize blazer that ended up being the same length as her dress. She finished the vibrant ensemble with suede pointed-toe heels, also in red, plus a glossy red lip courtesy of her brand, Rare Beauty.

The actor had her hair in a glamorous Snow White-esque bob, and she added some shimmer via a pair of diamond-embellished hoop earrings.

A look back at Gomez’s rosette style streak includes the ivory, rosette-embellished minidress she wore to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival earlier this year, and the black sequined rosette gown from Rodarte that she wore to the Toronto International Film Festival last September.

You may also recall the ruby red Giorgio Armani Privé gown with three black crystal-embroidered rosettes on the bodice that she wore to the 2024 Golden Globes; or the black Valentino hourglass gown with a halter neckline covered in large silver sequin rosettes that she slipped into for the 2023 Academy Museum Gala. Gomez also wowed in a silver Valentino ball gown covered in sequins and clear crystals—and adorned with a rosette at the neckline—at her inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit (one of three floral dresses she debuted that night).

The actor has even worn the trend off the carpet, namely when she stepped out in a black rosette top for a night out in New York City, giving the trend a casual spin.
