The track suit is back on, which means that Glee‘s Sue Sylvester is back.
Actress Jane Lynch, who portrayed the high school gym teacher on the Emmy-winning Fox series, which aired for six seasons between 2009 and 2015, is set to host a reunion of her former cast on the season premiere of her newer show, Celebrity Weakest Link.
Lynch will be joined on the game show she’s hosted since 2020 by Glee actors Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Dot-Marie Jones, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chord Overstreet, Becca Tobin, Alex Newell, and Max Adler.

It’s far from the first time that the cast from the musical series have reassembled, including in 2023 when they recorded the song “Prayers for the Broken,” which had been previously recorded by late cast member Naya Rivera, for charity, and in April when Lea Michele and Dianna Agron sat in the audience as Darren Criss performed in Broadway’s Maybe Happy Ending.
Michele captioned photos from the event with a reference to her former classmates: “Night out with my beautiful friend from high school to see our former classmate perform on Broadway.”
And Lynch has said that she’d like another shot at playing Sylvester.
The actress told PEOPLE in May 2024 that she would “absolutely” revisit the part of the brusque cheerleading coach.
“It would be so much fun,” Lynch said. “It’s a great character, and I think that, as she ages, 10 years older than the finale, I think there are other things to be added. I think it would be really fun to play Sue Sylvester 10 years later.”
During its run, Glee was honored with six Emmy Awards, including one in 2010 for Lynch in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy.

Lynch’s post-McKinley High work has included the game show as well as appearances on TV’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Only Murders in the Building, both of which earned her additional Emmy nods. She won for Mrs, Maisel and for hosting another game show, Hollywood Game Night.
She is scheduled to host this year’s ceremony, which airs Sept. 14 on CBS.
She will see her Glee alums on Celebrity Weakest Link on Monday, Sept. 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
