Scott Baio’s daughter Bailey will play Division 1 golf at Providence College
The actor said he was having a “proud dad moment” in his announcement

Scott Baio is a proud dad.
The Happy Days star, 64, excitedly announced that his 17-year-old daughter Bailey DeLuca Baio has committed to Providence College as a Division 1 golfer on the Friars team.
“Proud dad moment. Division 1 in The Big East Conference,” Baio wrote in a post on X on May 6 alongside a poster announcing Bailey’s commitment.
In a second post on X, Baio shared a photo of Bailey pointing to a sign that reads, “Welcome to Friartown,” at an airport baggage claim.

In the replies, former Olympic figure skater Todd Eldredge said, “That’s Wicked Pissah! She’ll learn that New England term soon enough. Congrats!” Baio replied, “Thanks so much. My daughter is thrilled PC has hockey teams and people ice skate at the arena on the off season!
Actress Kristy Swanson, who starred alongside Baio in the 2021 film Courting Mom and Dad, offered her congratulations as well, writing, “What a gal, so well deserved.” Baio responded, “Have your son go to PC as they have a good hockey team!”

Bailey thanked her father in her announcement on Instagram on May 6. “This has been years in the making,” she said in the caption.
“I give thanks to God and my parents first and foremost. To my very first golf coaches, my dad @realscottbaio PGA Ross F. @fugigolf77 and PGA Hans K. @bhbroncos for believing in me.”

The Joanie Loves Chachi alum is often posting content with his daughter on social media. In March, the father and daughter duo recapped Bailey’s golf tournament in a three-part video series on Instagram just one week before the budding golfer took over her dad’s account to share their trip to a polo game.
In September 2024, Bailey and her father co-posted an Instagram video showing what a day in her life is like as she hit the golf course.
Baio shares Bailey with his wife Renee Sloan. Shortly after Bailey was born on Nov. 2, 2007, doctors were concerned she had a rare metabolic disorder called glutaric acidemia type 1. After three months, it was determined that Bailey did not have the condition, but the Baios started a foundation to help children with the disorder following the scare.
