Savannah Chrisley is unfiltered when it comes to talking about plastic surgery, so much so that she decided to open up about her history with enhancements alongside her plastic surgeon, Dr. Charlie Galanis.
In a July 15 episode of her podcast, Unlocked, the reality television star, 27, decided to speak about undergoing liposuction for the first time, detailing the reasoning behind her decision to undergo the knife.
“I was going through all kinds of s— with my endometriosis,” revealed the Chrisley Knows Best star. “I had taken this medication and I gained 40 pounds in like three months. It was crazy. And I had to do this like campaign shoot and I hated how I looked.”

According to the World Health Organization, endometriosis is a disease that occurs when “tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus.” The condition can cause “severe pain in the pelvis and make it hard to get pregnant.” Chrisley shared her diagnosis in 2020 and had undergone three surgeries.
Liposuction is a cosmetic enhancement that removes fat from and contours specific areas of the body, such as the stomach, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms or neck, per Mayo Clinic.
The podcaster didn’t reveal exactly what year she had her surgery, but she said the whole thing “happened fast” and occurred around Christmas time “a while ago.”

“I went to Beverly Hills, mom [Julie Chrisley, who was pardoned from prison in May along with her husband Todd Chrisley] went with me, I did the surgery. And for me, it was just, I felt like s—. I didn’t like how I looked,” added Chrisley. She said that the feeling “took a toll” on her physically, emotionally and mentally.
Dr. Galanis, whom the star met through another surgeon, recalled Chrisley “cursing like a drunken sailor” in the recovery room. Added Chrisley, “And I kept saying you were hot. My mother was like, Savannah, shut up.”

Chrisley opened up about how confident she felt after her procedure.
“Speaking from personal experience, when I got my lipo done, I felt like, when you can look in the mirror and see a difference, it made me want to live healthier. When I saw the results, I was like, oh my gosh. I wanna keep this up,” she said, adding that she looked like a “totally different human being” after.
Chrisley’s confession makes her one of the latest stars to talk about their cosmetic procedures. The Kardashian-Jenners (including Kylie’s breast augmentation reveal and Khloé’s transformation breakdown) and Bravo’s Porsha Williams and Sami Sheen have recently discussed their nip and tucks in earnest, creating a new conversation around procedures.
